Ibikunle Amosun, a former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central in the National Assembly, is expected to enter the presidential campaign for 2023 on May 5, 2022.
According to reports, Amosun will run for President of Nigeria on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) (APC).
The governor is said to have consulted with members of the ruling APC about his presidential ambitions in 2023.
Senator Amosun will face off against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC national leader Bola Tinubu, Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, among others, for the party’s presidential ticket.

Because of his 40 years in the public sector, the Minister portrayed himself as an aspirant with years of administrative expertise.
Ngige claims to have a plethora of expertise, capacity, and enthusiasm, as well as a big heart to accommodate Nigerians’ differences.
