The recovery of the Cameroonian national flag and military uniforms has been verified by the Adamawa State Police Command.
The objects were discovered on Lamunde Hill in Toungo Local Government Area’s Gumti National Park.
Commissioner of Police Aliyu Adamu said in a statement on Monday that criminals terrorizing communities along the Nigeria-Cameroon border and in the southern part of Adamawa had been apprehended.
Toungo Police Division and the Special Hunters of Pulaaku Association conducted the operation at Lamunde Hill in Gumti National Park.
Nine Cameroon rebel military camouflage uniforms, a Cameroon national flag, and one motorcycle were among the objects found.
In a gunfight, the soldiers pursued the alleged suspects into their hideout, according to Adamu.
