Nigerian Security Operatives have recovered the remains of two of the three butchers kidnapped in Ala, Ondo State’s Akure North Local Government Area.
On Tuesday, gunmen abducted four butchers from Ajadusi Community, near Ala town, in Ondo State’s Akure North LGA.
The four butchers were said to have received a call from one of the kidnappers asking them to come to buy cows. The abductors attacked them as they approached the village, shooting intermittently before seizing three of them.
The bodies of the slain butchers were discovered in Tafa camp, Ala forest, according to sources.
Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, an Ondo Police spokesperson, verified the news and stated that efforts are still being made to locate the remaining butcher.
“Two of the three butchers have been slain,” Odunlami stated. Our troops discovered their dead in Tafa camp, within the Ala forest reserve, while scouring and combing the bush after we were informed of their kidnapping.
“The butcher that was macheted on his face was found groaning in pain at the camp when police raced to the scene.
“The victim was rushed to a general hospital for treatment and later taken to police hospital Akure for further treatment and he is recuperating.”
