Former Nigerian Senator, Abubakar Abdulazzez Ibrahim dies at 64

The Former Nigerian Senator, Abubakar Abdulazzez Ibrahim died at 64 after a brief illness on Tuesday.

Hajiya Aisha Jummai Alhassan, alias Mama Taraba, who died in May, was the younger brother of the late Abubakar Abdulazeez Ibrahim.

Between 1999 until 2007, he served in the Senate twice, representing the Taraba central senatorial zone.

In addition, he ran for governor of the state twice.

In Jalingo, he was the founder of Ibramiyya Primary and Secondary Schools, as well as Peacock College of Education.

According to a statement from his family, He will be buried at Jika da Fari burial ground, where late Jummai was also buried.
