Unknown gunmen are said to have attacked a police post in Enugu State, killing two officers.
According to eyewitnesses, the two policemen were said to have died on the spot.
By comparison, this comes just weeks after four police officers were killed in a similar incident in the Amaechi Awkunanaw region of the State.
The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, said that the security operatives are on the lookout for criminals,
“Full-scale investigation that will lead to fishing out of the assailants has commenced. Further development will be communicated, please,” he said.
